Your prayer stays on your watch.
Iqtarib collects no data. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.
What stays on your watch
- Your prayer log, calibration, settings and learned timings.
- The details of your most recent prayer, for the review screen.
- Masjids you choose to save, as map coordinates.
Motion
Wrist motion is read during a prayer to recognise standing, bowing, prostrating and sitting. It is processed on the watch and never leaves it.
Location
Your location is used on the watch, only while the app is open, to calculate prayer times and the qibla and to recognise masjids you have saved. It is never sent anywhere.
Health
While you pray, Iqtarib runs a workout session so it can keep counting with your wrist lowered and the screen off. It does not save workouts, and it does not read or write any health data.
Sharing
If you tap Share data in the app, you choose where the report goes, for example an email to yourself or to us to help fix a counting problem. Nothing is shared unless you do this.
No accounts, ads or tracking
There is no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics and no third-party code that collects information.
Deleting your data
Delete the app from your watch and everything it stored is removed. In Settings you can also reset your learned timings and forget saved masjids.
Beta sign-up
If you sign up to test Iqtarib, the sign-up form (Google Forms) collects your name, the email you use for TestFlight, and a few answers about your watch and how you pray. We use them only to send your TestFlight invitation and to follow up during testing, and we delete them when the beta ends. This is separate from the app, which still collects nothing.
